The Kings Heath and Garretts Green DVSA driving test centres are very popular centres in the Birmingham area and have reasonable availability for tests compared with other driving test centres although, like all test centres, they have their challenges such as large roundabouts, one-way streets and funny-shaped junctions.

Typical roads on the Kings Heath (Birmingham) test routes are the A435, Stot Fold Road, Featherstone Road, and Maypole Lane. You are highly likely to have to deal with several roundabouts and potentially a dual-carriageway road as part of your driving test. Still, as part of our intensive driving course, we will ensure you have the knowledge to deal with these prior to preparing for the last hour on the last day which is set up as the DVSA practical driving test.

Garretts Green Driving Test Centre is a multipurpose test centre which means the examiners conduct Car, Motorcycle, PCV & HGV tests. On the car test routes, you will be sure to get at least 1 manoeuvre and potentially an emergency stop. Being quite close to the M6 and M42 many pupils from the area do travel into this test centre as it is easily accessible. If you are from the Birmingham area you will know that there are many many roundabouts so you will take quite a few roundabouts on your driving test. Typical roads around the test routes are Garretts Green Lane, Meadway, and Birmingham Road.
