That’s the headline for today as Charlie H took a mid range intensive driving course in the Chelmsford area with our very own expert driving instructor Steph L and passed his driving test 1st time, what a great result, congratulations from all at A Pass 4 U Driving School!

Chelmsford driving test centre presently based on Crittal Road, Witham is a new temporary test centre after being kinked out of their long term home on Hanbury road so the test routes and testing areas are not just new to the Essex based driving instructors but to the DVSA driving test examiners. This doesn’t mean you cannot prepare properly as Charlie has shown us even with these challenges you can still pass your driving test 1st time but only with the right tuition and test preparation.

So what is the secret to a 1st time pass?

  1. Picking the right intensive driving course – the right amount of hours is key to learning new skills, practising them and having enough time for some test preparation
  2. Having the right ADi (Approved Driving Instructor) – You need to have a driving instructor with the right skills for what you need, you need to get on with them as you are going to be spending some time with them and they need to know the location you are going to be taking our test in for the sake of your test preparation.
  3. Picking the right test centre for you – Different learner drivers have varying skills and whilst you should be able to drive anywhere there is no reason you should not increase your odds on passing by picking a test centre that suits your skills e.g. Basildon DTC has a lot of dual carriageways and bigger roundabouts which may suit your skills where as Southend DTC has lots of housing estates that get used on test.
