Crash Courses - The Results Are In

Here at  A Pass 4 U we are proud of our great results and keep records of passes and near misses.  A new learner has a greater chance of passing a practical driving test 1st time if they have an intensive driving course. As most hourly lessons involve a recap from the last lesson (10 mins) and because driving courses don't need this you will on average have 6.5 hours more time behind the wheel. These results are why 14% more people pass 1st time, and faster with our driving courses than traditional hourly lessons.

A Pass 4 U on the Telly

Tony Mihill, the owner of A Pass 4 U, has been filming the new Learner Driver TV show for Virgin. The show called "Britains Worst Learners" is running for 6 weeks and the contestants can win a brand new car. Tony recalls "one funny moment when in Andover, down a very tight country road we came across a family of pheasants in the middle of the road. The pupil decided that the best way of dealing with this was to close her eyes and duck her head, all whilst shouting they can't fly". This was one of the many scary moments.

Test Rumours

The DSA are presently consulting with different bodies at how car tests should be conducted in the future. Some of the proposals are,

  • Longer learning period - Minimum of 1 year

  • Compulsory amount of driving hours - 50 hours

  • Curfew on driving times - No driving between 23:30 and 06:00

  • limit on engine size for a number of years

**Please remember these are all rumours and will not be coming in to effect until Parliament make it law**

ASSIST Program kicks into gear

Parents, partners and friends are invited to join us on the newly designed ASSIST Program. The ASSIST program is designed to help parents, partners and friends to help the learner driver. Chris Drysdale, Senior Instructor, explains that the program doesn't turn people into instructors, it helps people understand the psychology and modern driving techniques of driving lessons, so practise time is used in the best way possible and avoids a full out war in the car. For further information and to join the ASSIST program please call the AP4U office on 01702 308763 (Only open to Essex residents at the moment).
