A Pass 4 U is an intensive driving school based in Essex. Over the last 12 years, with just 2 instructors and with some heavy investment in marketing, the driving school has grown to become a network of over 200 driving instructors across the UK, yet we still remain a family run business.
We have specialised in bringing people in from out of the area and provided them with intensive courses, over varying periods. Therefore we are now in the process of offering established instructors and small driving schools across the UK the opportunity to benefit from our marketing campaigns, for free, by becoming a driving instructor at APass4U. We have had in excess of 1 million potential pupils looking at our website in the last 12 months! Whilst we absolutely cannot guarantee any level of work, we are sure that everyone will benefit from being an agent within A Pass 4 U Nationwide driving school.
Our agreements allow both schools and instructors to be part of the following process:
Step 1 – Customer rings and books course. Confirmation sent out in writing to pupil.
Step 2 – AP4U book B&B, Test and organises an instructor for the dates leading up to test.
Step 3 – Instructor rings pupil within 48hrs of booking to introduce themselves.
Step 4 – Customer arrives and starts course with 5 hours training per day.
Step 5 – Instructor delivers course and phones AP4U office to advise the result of the test.
Step 6 – AP4U pay your course fee to Instructor by Bacs.
All instructors are paid at £19.00 per hour for manual and £20.00 per hour for automatic (These are reviewed periodically in all areas). Many instructors have queried the amount, as they normally charge more. I show them this calculation.
£19 x 5Hr’s = £95.00 (No travelling time) Breaks etc are out of their time.
£22 x 5Hr’s = £110.00 – travelling time 5 x 20 mins = 1hr 10 mins (25.67) = £84.33
As you can see it is more profitable doing courses and this doesn’t take into account the fuel used during travelling.
Client = WIN – Course closer to home at a reasonable rate
Instr = WIN – More profitable work
AP4U = WIN – Profit from course
It is a simple process and that’s why it works so well. Everyone’s a winner.
If you have never taught intensive driving courses before the differences are not major but do have a real impact on whether the training works or not. The biggest factor is timing, you will need to ensure your timing allows for all the aspects to be taught and allow practice time. As with all aspects we will help and guide you with anything you may need.
We do encourage pupils to take an assessment lesson before booking a driving course but from time to time we have pupils that will not have enough training to get them to test standard and need to be pulled from test. Our experience is that most accept this as they can see that they are not good enough and in fact normally book more tuition. If they do want to make an issue of it we remind them that they have signed our T’s & C’s and they state that “the instructor and or the school has the right to refuse the pupil a test if they are not meet the DSA standards”. Our terms and conditions are supplied to each pupil in writing and are displayed on our website.
This is a genuine offer with no catches so if you are interested taking the next step please read the attached agreement form which is very basic and does not tie you into any time period or financial commitments. We do expect that if you accept a course you are commit to completing it but if you can’t take one on for any reason, there’s no hard feelings.
